My Goodreads Reviews Part 46

Proudly presenting you five books from My Goodreads Reviews Part 46! I have some really cool stuff for you, even the book I’ve translated into Croatian three weeks ago. Hope you enjoy and love them.

Don’t Believe Everything You Think: Why Your Thinking Is The Beginning & End Of Suffering, A Life Half Lived: A True Story of Love, Addiction, Tragedy, and Hope, The Fountain: A Collection of Poems - A Chapbook, The Personal Journal of Trebor Ewots, From the Rooftops

I have translated this book into Croatian! Today I have sent my translation to the editor of the publishing house Planetopija, grateful for the opportunity to hear about this book and to read and translate it.

My understanding of how the Universe works is vague, but this book came into my hands when I needed it most. Thinking was killing me, making me feel miserable, anxious, depressed. My mind is always active, throwing its dark scenarios into my face, making me suffer. But now I know how to deal with it and am practicing how to let go of my thinking and live in the moment. When I accomplish that by some miracle, the reward is peace, calmness, hope. All the things I need and crave now.

I don’t know yet when this book will be published in Croatian, but that is not important because you can read it in English now. If you are also a victim of your own (over)thinking, have faith in this book and read it. You won’t lose more than a few dollars and you will get so much more if you open your heart and mind to it.

A sad and touching story. A lesson to be learned. Both for teenagers and their parents, whose overprotectiveness can suffocate and distance their children from them. Sometimes love is just letting them live and learn from their own mistakes. In situations like this one with drug abuse, it is the hardest part. Love really hurts.

Being an author or a poet is a talent we often take for granted. When that talent is multiplied by another talent, it feels like you are touched by the hand of God. With her verses and original oil paintings, Klara M. Busic takes us on a short trip through her chapbook, sharing with us her intimate experience of Life. Gently and unobtrusively, like we are touched by the hand of a lady.

The personal journal about incredible success and wealth, and of deep, incurable sadness. You need to read this one. Another success story by Robert Stowe.

I have received an advance review copy from the author at no cost and with no obligations toward the author.

First, I want to give compliments to the cover designer whose artwork in its simplicity and effectiveness thrilled me! I am sorry that there is no mention of the cover designer in the book because they deserve that.

As for the story itself, I find it very satisfying although it played with me when at moments it fully grabbed my attention and forced me to speed up my reading just to slow it down a few pages later when it tamed my curiosity and expectations. I am pleased with the ending because it is not a typical romance ending and therefore may not be according to everyone’s taste, but it is very logical and realistic, and I congratulate the author on that.

Happy reading!
