Ghent: Devoured by Belgian Fries – Day 3

After sharing experience at the workshop about the best practice how to build a database, we ended up visiting the medieval bastion Gravensteen Castle – "a building with a dramatic history and a place of cruel (in)justice."

Touring Ghent we continued visiting a few stores and finished by ordering a huge three piles of Belgian fries. For this occasion let's call them Belgian instead of French fries, because it is claimed they originated in Belgium and when in Rome do what Romans do. Those large portions were truly large. Even though we attacked them first, it was us who were eventually devoured by Belgian fries! There was nothing else to do but to pack them up, and finish them later this evening, tonight, the next morning, afternoon . . . who knows when!

A Sad Day in Brussels
